AESPLLA- Poly-Lactic-Acid

Course Overview

Expand your knowledge of AESPLLA and Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA) biostimulation with our comprehensive online training programme.

This course provides structured education covering the science behind PLLA, collagen stimulation, patient assessment, relevant facial anatomy, treatment planning, product preparation, injection principles, complications and aftercare.

AESPLLA is a PLLA-based volumiser and collagen stimulator. Rather than simply providing immediate volume in the same way as a traditional hyaluronic-acid filler, the treatment is designed around stimulation of the body’s own collagen response and gradual tissue remodelling.

What’s Covered in the Course?

The course includes:

• Introduction to collagen stimulators – including PLLA, other biostimulatory materials and how they differ from traditional dermal fillers.

• AESPLLA product knowledge – understanding Poly-L-Lactic Acid, its properties, mechanism of action and expected longevity.

• Collagen stimulation & neocollagenesis – understanding the biological response to PLLA and the role of fibroblast activity and Type I collagen production.

• Patient selection & treatment planning – including realistic expectations, assessment of volume loss and determining patient suitability.

• Facial & skin anatomy – detailed study of the integumentary system, facial ageing, muscles, bones, arteries, veins and nerves.

• Consultation & assessment – including Fitzpatrick skin typing, consultation principles, pre-treatment advice and contraindications.

• Products, equipment & consumables – including appropriate equipment, needles, syringes and supporting consumables.

• AESPLLA preparation – covering product preparation, dosage and drawing-up principles.

• Injection techniques & protocols – including treatment planning for the temporal region, cheeks, pre-auricular/submalar region, chin, jawline, anterior face and full-face approaches.

• Treatment areas – including the temporal fossa, cheeks, chin and jawline, apical triangle, décolletage, neck and hands.

• Health, safety & infection control – including sharps, blood-borne pathogens, hygiene and clinical safety.

• Side effects & complications – recognition, prevention and appropriate management principles.

• Aftercare – appropriate post-treatment information and ongoing patient management.

These topics reflect the modules and treatment content contained within your AESPLLA training manual.
